Client Service

You’re probably wondering, “What’s up with that sunflower?” Well, the sunflower is generally thought to represent respect, loyalty, and longevity – worthwhile pursuits in client service.

The founders of Q3 have been working together under the banner of previous firms, providing the highest quality of services to clients in both the public and private sectors. They have served numerous clients in government, including the California Department of Transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Counties of Riverside, Orange, Ventura, and San Bernardino, and Cities of Anaheim, Irvine, Ventura, Laguna Beach, Redlands, and Newport Beach.  John, Tom, and Howard have also served many clients in real estate/land development, special interest and non-profit groups and organizations, and pseudo-government authorities.

What's in a Name?

The founders of Q3 are often asked, “What is the story behind the name Q3 Consulting?  Or simply, what is Q3?  While there is no great tale of intrigue, Q3 was chosen because it lies at the very core of what they love to do as a Profession: Stormwater Engineering.

Fundamentally, the Q in Q3is the standard symbol used to represent discharge (or flow rate), at least in the civil engineering realm.  A numerical subscript is often associated with Q to depict the frequency of occurrence (or return period) of the assigned flow rate, in years; however, in their case, the “3” signifies the three co-founders of Q3.
